Hey guys, does anyone have a good source for Westinghouse Ivory paper Micarta? Or know of a good alternative. Wanting to achieve the two tones...darker in the middle of the handle and lighter towards the outside. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Feel free to pm me or email me at mmcdowell@una.edu

Do you realize that the original Westinghouse paper micarta would change colour with time?

I just need enough for one slipjoint but would like to have enough for 2. I would be open to buying an entire sheet.

And yes, Frank, I was aware of that. Of there was a more modern alternative that I could use that could achieve the same look I'd definitely be open to using it!

I bought a few sets of those scales at the ebay link. They are beige colored, not white, and consistent color all the way through. The photo is taken in such a way to make them look yellowed but that's not the case at all.

The seller is a complete asshole. I asked about provenance and he berated me, and random other people, basically saying there's no way I could know I've ever worked with legit westinghouse stock, and though his was genuine, none of the other I've used from trusted sources in the past with expected results, was, etc. etc.

It may be vintage "ivory" micarta of some type, may even be legit westinghouse ivorite of some color, but it's not the stuff you're looking for that's white to cream in the inside and yellows over time.

I'll second what Javan said. I tried a set too. Its not Westinghouse. What I got was ivory paper micarta that you can buy from several other knife suppliers for 75% less.
