Yessir,it is a glass based phenolic which is made with old recipe resins which are non-photo stable. I have a few pieces in different thicknesses which have been exposed to sunlight for various periods of time. After about four hours of direct sunlight, it turns to kind of a taupe color. As time and exposure continues it turns to an amberish Brown.Murph, it looks very G10-ish, great lookin' material!

Hi my friend! I'm looking for blue micarta, and found this message. Do you still have these materials?Ok here goes:
This is one of two different pieces I got from Ray Kirk, first sheet was about 3/16" thick, the next is 0.650":

This is the stuff I just got, is *supposed* to be legit westinghouse stuff, but I'm not certain it is, it's pretty beige colored:

Then this is Westinghouse Blue Ivorite, which I believe to be legit. I paid good money for this from a reputable source AFAIK:

Here's a photo of knives (Don Carlos Adrade, California Custom Knives, not mine) made from the same material, hope they don't mind me linking, but the maker has a knifemaker membership here:

Pretty. Sweet Stuff.....Got this vintage Russian “noodles” micarta and sent it off to get an EDC made a tad smaller than my XL EDC. Bill did a really nice job. Here is before and after to show what the micarta looks like after working thru some layers. Ice Age Crafts was my supplier.View attachment 3004685View attachment 3004686View attachment 3004687
