As a person that has a few Western knives and a couple of Westmark knives, mostly prior to the Camillus days, I have always wondered if there are any records or places that have information on the serial number system used on the Westmarks. While the Western knives used a letter system A = 1977, the Westmarks were serial numbered. I have looked for a site that might have the answer to the question of the serial number / year and the amount of knives made per year.

edbeau, you have some fine looking knives there. I have a model 703 in the original box, with the scabbard and the brochure that came with the knife. I purchased it about 1972 while home on leave from Japan. Paid in the neighborhood of $25.00 for it. It has never been used, and has never been touched by a stone. Probably give it to my Grandson one of these days. Will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do that...........
