wetterlings axe

is it necessary to prep a new wetterlings axe? i received one for Christmas and before i use it i would like to know if i should do anything to help make it last longer (i.e. head treatment, soak in linseed oil, handle, etc.)

No, you should be good to go. Just make sure it's sharp.

Yep, so long as it's sharp and comfortable to swing (i.e. no hot spots or small splinters), you should be fine :thumbup:
