wetterlings sheath

I just recieved a large hunting axe from bensbackwoods.... and i was wondering what sheath is supposed to come with it.. I recieved a rather solid sheath but it has no belt loop... Looking at pictures i only see pictures of it with a belt loop... Did i luck out somehow and get a better sheath? I say better because the sheath that came with my hatchet (wetterlings too) was of lesser quality but with a belt loop

it sounds like maybe the changed the sheaths?

my hunting axe came with a sheath with a beltloop, i cut it off though. i tried wearing it on my belt, but that axe is too big and heavy for belt carry in my opinion.

My large hunters sheath is very nice and without a belt loop. Top rate I'd say. Thick leather, clean cuts, good rivets. I think that is now standard issue
