I see a lot of folks moving the screws to have the shiney end on the non clip side. Just wondering why CRK does this? I think it looks better on the reverse too.

I believe it has something to do with when they originally put the knife together, its virgin assembly. It speeds assembly and production.

I always reverse mine also. That way the driver sides all line up with the driver side on the clip.

I have most of mine reversed too, but I think it's generally accepted that the drive end of a fastener is the top end.

Why doesn't CRK already do this? I mean, it makes sense because it is more asthetically pleasing. Which makes me wonder if changing sides is not intended for the design. What does SCRK say about this?

What's the big deal? For anyone who wants to, changing them is a few seconds work. Changing them as part of a periodic clean and lube is NO work, just put it back together whichever way you like.

Because it's the right way to do it!

All you screw flippers need to get your head checked :p

:D

Not a "big" deal. Just wondering why if the asthetics are better they don't do it themselves. It makes me wonder if there is a reason for the screws to be on the other way. That was really the base of my question.

Perhaps because the "aesthetics" are not necessarily better, but rather a matter of opinion.

No, but because everywhere I read and pics I see, people move the screws.

I have mine in original condition and I agree that the screws look better on the opposute side where everyone puts them. I just wonder if there is a reason CRK has it like this before I do.

I'm beginning to think that some of y'all have a screw loose. :p

I guess Sebenza's truly are as nice as we tout them to be, if this is the best we can come up with for criticism!

:)

Professor.

IMHO I think its part of assembly. The framelock is layed down with screws through. Then tightening the the screws. Insert blade. Flip over and put the clip on. As to flipping them over. I just realised I flipped mine in the last clean up. Did not even realise it. I like it the other way around. There are many photos with the screws as from factory. Its your own opinion.

I keep 'em the way they come from the factory. Chris Reeve knows best. I don't think he does anything without good reason.

I'm thinking shiny side down as so when stored (clip up) they won't get scratched or dulled.
