wgy does CRK install the shiney end of the screws on the clip side?

One should never reverse the screws on a Seb:

The vast majority of Seb owners place their Sebs
clip down during use in knife related jobs.

If the screw heads are reversed:
Head socket debri, marring, even accidental unscrewing of screw
heads can eventually occur. Only the clip screw is protected.

Think about it.

I tried both ways, and I decided I prefer the way CRK does it. For me, it's just easier to take apart and put the knife back together for cleaning. YMMV of course. ;)

I like things "original" so for me the best way to put the screw is as CRK does. IMO The screw head in the clip side looks ugly! :P

they do that for no specific reason I believe but I like them just like that. I never reverse screws :D

You meant to write they place their sebs clip up, right?

I carry my knives but still try to keep them in mint condition, so I always store my sebbie clip up..... that will help in limiting scratches on the BB scales and clip. BTW a little polish and a dremel tool will have those screws shiny and new

I have thought about it and still don't know why you would place the knife clip down.

this makes no sense to me.

are you saying that by laying a sebenza down with the screws facing down, they will eventually back out as a result?

when im using a folder and lay it down (open), it is always clip up. to lay it down the other way would require reversing the direction the edge is facing when laying it down and picking it up.

when i put down a closed folder, it is always clip down, simply because of how it is oriented when removed from my pocket.

and i always reverse the screws, i like uniformity. ;)

(on users) Reverse 'em baby :D

Safe queens should stay original.

I don't know why CRK does it that way but am willing to bet it has something to do with keeping the assemby procedure stream lined.

Pretend you're peeling an apple with your Seb.

If your a righty, you're probably rolling the apple with your
left hand and trimming it with the Seb clip down in your right hand..

The phone rings!

You don't flip the Seb over and slam it on the table.
You set everything straight down the way it is.
..

Does it matter which way the bolts are on a Seb user?
Of course not.

1. i never slam my seb down anywhere.
2. i don't peel apples.

granted, in that instance, i may set it down clip down. but i also may not.

i rarely use my knives in a reverse grip, i tend to cut away from my body, not towards.

i didn't say the orientation of the bolts mattered, you did. you said they will collect debris and back out.

i just reverse them for aesthetics. i prefer the uniformity.

I'm sure you use your Seb properly.
This is a thread about nothing, like a Seinfeld show.
It just doesn't matter.

Just messin with ya:p

I like it as it comes from the manufacturer.

Just a personal opinion though.

Maybe because it is what I am used to looking at? Maybe it is because it just looks better:D

I'm a flipper by nature ;)

Flipped with the logo side makes for a nice smooth look to the knife;

and leaving the clip side that already has a screw head there, to keep that company ;)
