Arrrrgh Maties, here be a blade fashioned from the tooth of the whale that took me leg off at the lost coast back in ’18. I bested ‘im in the end though and took my trophy. This be just the thing for the mariner in need of a trusty blade. Whale’s tooth made from the steel of 440C it is. Here be the list of particulars:
9.5" OAL with a 5" blade and 1 7/8" tall
Bevels be finished to P1500 grit for a highly reflective yet satin finish. Edge before sharpening was in the .015” range and the blade glides through looted papers, leather, rope and other treasures.
The scales be Granadillo wood with thin black liner and 3/16" brass pins, finished with multiple coats of Danish Oil and Carnauba Wax. Me thinks the brass looks real good next to the reddish hardwood and gives the look a true mariner’s flair.
Handmade, lined sheath, wet molded for a snug fit. The knife inserts just past the middle pin.
Time's be hard though and I'm asking only 135 clams via paypal, check or MO and I’ll even throw in a map to the capn’s hoard, if you dare. Questions and comments welcome, and of course your satisfaction is my top priority.
