Wharncliffe Anyone?

I've looked at the Centofante 4 before. The only thing that stoped me was the blade/handle ratio. The handle is an inch and a half longer than the blade. I prefer the handle to be only an inch or less longer than the blade.

I vote for the "Needs Work" as a very good knife. One aspect is the angle of the blade and handle when open - good for food prep. The only thing I don't like is that the handles are too thick. If it had handles like the Boker it would be perfect.

When I had my Centofante 4 I really thought it cut awesome. The Caly Jr. is almost a wharncliffe and is so great. The kiwi is perfect for that compact wharncliffe.

I thought the same thing for a while until I realized that the extra handle really does increase the grip comfort and security. Additionally, that extra bit of handle doesn't make a difference when its clipped in your pocket folded up.

currently my EDC and favorite knife overall.

it's amazing how such a simple design can come together...

The Gravitator would be great if it didn't have that big, pointy chainsaw of a spine ramp to tear your hand apart when you put your hand in the pocket it's clipped on.

Carson and Obenauf make the nicest wharnecliffes that I know of.
