Flat-ground, satin-finished wharncliffe blade of 440C, hardened to 58-59 Rc. 2 1/4" of cutting edge. Lockbar is also 440C at 58-59 Rc, spring is 440C at 45 Rc. Serpentine style handle, with golden brown linen micarta scales, and nickel silver bolsters, liners and pins.
This knife won the "Best Folder Award" at the 2005 Adelaide Knife Show.
Fit and finish is extremely nice, this is an incredibly solid knife. When the lock engages there is a very satisfying "thunk". Check out the 4th pic to see how the blade tang lines up with the lock-bar when the knife is open.
There are some fine scratches on the bolsters, so the knife has been carried some. I'm sure they could be buffed out by someone who knew what they were doing (which excludes me). Other than the scratches on the bolsters the knife looks cherry, no marks on the blade or scales. Comes with the original, signed certificate of origin, which lists the cost of the knife at $425 in 2005
Asking $275, which includes first class USPS shipping and insurance, and Paypal fees. Paypal preferred, but a USPS money order will work. However it must be a USPS money order, the kind I can cash at the post office.
Thanks for looking.
