I found this antler that was dropped by a hunter. It had holes drilled near the crown and was probably used with another shed as rattling antlers to call in bucks. It probably laid on the ground since last deer season and was beached and chalky so I almost left it in the woods. However, a light 220 grit sand and some buffing removed the outer layer showing a nice off-white and hard handle material. An overnight soak in mineral oil and I'm happy with this handle.
