The Hogue EX-04 "Modified" Warncliff is one of the most impressive and functional blade designs I've ever used. It excels in every area that is important to me. Piecing, cullting/slicing and with the double recurve really grips the material being cut on both the push and pull cut with a nice big belly to get the most out of each motion.. Plus the double grind reduces the drag while cutting. It makes prolonged cutting a breeze.
Not a traditional Warncliff blade but worth having a serious look at. So far I've been nothing but very impressed with it.
Best of luck!

Who is the maker of this amd which model? (It looks like it could be a Kershaw? )
oh also look at the kershaw needs work OP
This blade bears no resemblance to a Wharncliffe.
Names can be a bit strange sometimes.
Names can be strange indeed, the Hoag looks like a modified of a modified sheeps foot.
Hahaha. Totally agree. Sort of a modified sheepcliffe.
Beautiful blade! I'm chasing this knife down right now. I'm looking to get one in blue G-mascus but I'm really having trouble justifying it right now. My wife keeps asking me "do you really need another knife?" Well duh! Heck yeah I need the elishewitz designed modified wharncliffe in my life heck yes I do!!!
To the OP this should be something you seek look at for surealso look at amazon for the best bang for your buck on the 3.5 and 4" models if you are even considering the Hogue.
Mid.Way.USA has great sales on the EX04 - just have to check weekly... and wait - picked up the EX03 for $70 a piece, EX04 3.5 for $107 and 4" for $128 on 'clearance'.
