Wharnie xm-18 arrived!

Holy free-wholly I likey!! :) and Boy does She Flip!

You know...I noticed that out of all my XM 18 that I've had (a whole whopping 3 now :p ) this Wharnie flips better than they all did...so much so that it is almost smoother than my well-broken-in XM 24. Right outta the box this blade flips like a dream. It almost makes me wonder if I did something wrong with the others.

I'm glad that some of you guys that won warnies are keeping them instead of selling them the next day.

Funny you should mention this....I was having this same converstion with a fellow member not too terribly long ago...I, for one, am grateful for what Rick/Rob and the rest of the Hinderer Crew have done here (w/the lottery) and I wouldn't think of insulting them by unloading this knife. It is/has been one of my grails for quite some time and it will see non-stop pocket time for quite some time to come...

Enjoy the pleasure! :)

Really wish I didn't have to sell mine (regretting it slightly now) but I just could not afford to hang onto it at them moment. Thanks for the opportunity with the lotto though, it gave me a chance to handle one of these highly-praised knives. Keep up the great work!

Yeah, that sucks - sincerely sorry to hear. Hang around here, you'll have one back ;)

I just culled seven knives from my stash in an attempt to fund my RHK addiction, and have been eyeballing my gun safe... the car and the dog are next..

Thanks for the encouragement. It's funny. I never considered ever getting an XM-18. But now, after handling one, I find myself checking the exchange here more frequently, keeping an eye out for an xm-18 3.5" (wharncliffe in particular) :-P You guys where right...they are addicting and I definitely would like to get my hands on one to hold onto hopefully by year's end :-D

Lovin' these wharnie shots!Congrats to all the winners.

Question - Now that wharncliffs are going full production(awesome!),do you think there will be production clip points/bowies in the near future?
I've always said if I could get a wharnie & a bowie flipper I'd be set for knives for good.

I could be wrong, (usually am) but I don't think they are actually going full production. I think they might be for lotteries/special events.

But my understanding is that they will not be available as an order option...as I said above...I could be wrong. :)

No offense, but what you said was "I don't think they are actually going full production" and no where do you mention "they can't be ordered". They are in full production of 3.5" wharnies as I stated and as far as ordering, Rob has previously mentioned they aren't available as part of the MIL/LEO/Fire/EMT/EMS Direct Ordering program but that has nothing to do with production, just that they aren't available as part of the direct order program currently. Certain authorized dealers have the production wharnies, they have been sold at knife shows (lotteries), the Hinderer GTG, on the two authorized Hinderer forums, the Hinderer Knife Defense class, etc.
