Wharnecliff blade was made from a 3/16th thick Nicholson file. File was annealed before grinding. Heat treat was 3 quenches in atf, before tempering for two 2 hour cycles at 400 degrees. Blade was allowed to cool to room temp between each quenching , and tempering.
Full hollow ground blade has a 3 inch cutting edge and is 1 1/16th wide with an AOL of 7 5/8ths Handle is dymondwood cocobolo with 3/16th brass pins. Sharpened to a hair shaving edge by hand on a Arkansaw oil stone.
Hand stitched fitted sheath made from 9-10 oz. leather is included. Knife snaps into the sheath with a pop for secure worry free carry.

Three weeks to Italy is standard time. Sometimes better, but sometimes worse.
About my brief experience with he knife ;) , I can tell you she like the Wharnie design and the visual mix of traces of original nicholson file with your excellent craftmanship. Superb the hollow grind, gourgeous the diamondwood, the knife feel simply right in hand. Again rustic finish for the sheath but it is perfectly fitted for the knife, with a really satisfing CLAP when she pull in or out. :D
