What´s in Your pockets when you leave home?

What´s in your pockets when you leave home?

These are the stuff I always carry outside my home:
§ Pocket knife: Spyderco Military or Calypso Jr Lwt
§ Zippo lighter (plain, chrome) wrapped into a handkerchief in order to avoid stains on my clothes
§ Tissot Twotimer wrist watch (I´d actually prefer a Casio G-shock or a Junghans Atomic)
§ Wallet stuffed with the usual things
§ Ballograf Epoca pen
§ Keyring featuring: Keys, Sapphire Light (a white Photon II is on its way), a little can opener, Swiss Tech UtiliKey, Traser Glow Ring (green)
§ A strong rubber band or fiber glass tape (just a bit)

I see most guys are listing what's on their PERSON rather than in their pockets so I'll go that route too.
Starting from the top and working down,
Spyderco Mini Police necklace
Silver Cross Pen and Pencil set (shirt pocket)
Rolex SS Submariner
Kimber Ultra Elite .45 auto
two spare loaded mags on belt
knife (varies between an Emerson Commander, BM AFCK, and occasionally an MT HALO III)
Cell phone

In my "Photographer's vest" (for concealment purposes)
1 spare loaded mag
small compass
Magnesium fire starter w/cheapo chinese 3 dollar delica knockoff and P-38 can opener on the same chain
Leatherman Wave
Surefire 6Zulu

On keychain,
ASP Sapphire light
cuff key (souvineer from my USMC "Chaser" days)
P-38 I've been carrying since 1975
Dog Tag
Craftsman screwdriver "disk"

I don't exactly CLANK when I walk, but my wife groans whenever she picks up my vest!

The trick is to make sure everything you carry is as small and light as practical. Most of mine weighs next to nothing except for the knives and guns. And who would do without those?
smile.gif

--Bob Q

Right on bquinlan. Unfortunately, here in Sweden, one is not allowed to carry guns or concealed weapons, or tools (!!). This also comprises small utility knives if longer than 2". So as you can see, life is not easy here.

However, I usually don´t give a s... about those rules and DO carry at least one well sized knife
smile.gif
I´d also carry a hand gun if I could get one in some way (almost impossible).

Best regards wishes dePaul

Thanks dePaul!
A very valid question Bob.
You know, I use my real name, that's really my home town there to the left of this post, and I'm VERY easy to find if someone wanted to go to the trouble.
It occured to me that listing my total loadout was possibly a stupid thing to do tactically speaking, as if some BG were out there reading the posts at BFC hoping to find my tactical weakness and secrets and use that knowledge to overwhelm me somehow!
(geez, can you say paranoid or WHAT?)
biggrin.gif

Then I thought, Nah, heck with it. And posted anyway. (I did keep back one tiny secret, but I'll never tell!) LOL

As far as being able to walk, it's actually easier to carry MORE stuff than less!
For example.
I carry the surefire light and spare mag on the left side of the vest. This weighs the vest on that side and makes it ride poorly.
The solution? Toss a Leatherman Wave in the RIGHT side pocket.
The pistol rides on the right hip, creating a poor balance. Solution? Double mag pouch on the LEFT hip. Everything balances out again.
The trick is to find ways to make everything ride comfortably and discreetly and then to ALWAYS put things back in the same place.
You don't want to have to go searching through all those pockets trying to find your flashlight or spare mag in the middle of a fight.

Well, what I carry usually differs between when I'm at school and not.

School Carry
Back Pocket: Wallet with money, ID, NRA card, etc.
Right Pocket: Keys and some loose change
Left Pocket: Asthma inhaler

Out of School
Back Pocket: Wallet
Right Pocket: CRKT M16 with serrated spearpoint blade and change
Left Pocket: Asthma inhaler and keys

If I'm just going over to a friends house or something the M16 goes in the back pocket or the waistband and I'll put my BM-42 balisong in the coin pocket. I guess I travel pretty light. I really can't carry more than one knife because I'm underage and the cops won't look too kindly on that. And a concealed pistol is out of the question since I'm not old enough for a CCW. But if I was, I'd probably go carrying a P7 or maybe a Sig P232. Maybe in a couple years though...

Since Austria joined the EC, concealed carry is a no-no here (exept for the very rich, politicians, etc.), so I always carry FOX pepper spray (I took the IMO better designed shroud from a Mace unit and the can from FOX) and an CRKT Crawford/Kasper folder for defense. Other "on person" gear: Nokia 8210 (subcompact phone), white Photon II on keyring. Since I am a student, I always have a small backpack for books, etc. with me. I carry a survival kit like this one http://www.equipped.org/drperskit.htm, spare contact lenses, plus a Sure Fire 6P as well as a CS Safekeeper I pushdagger, there.

Ken, if some PBG were reading this, he'd probably see what you carry and decide that he could find an easier target!

Ok, my loadout:

RF pocket: keys and tiny SAK w/LED on a 2.5' metal chain. Chain clipped to belt loop but stuffed into pocket. It's not a fashion accessory, it's so my keys can not become separated from my person. Knife, usually 940 or 812, but has been blue inlay Native this week.

Zippo pocket: Zippo

LF pocket: pen, chapstick, Bic lighter, change, cash in money clip.

BL pocket: notepad/phonebook, G-10 Harpy

BR pocket: wallet with cards no cash

horizontal above BR pocket: 710 or AFCK

In the jacket: sunglasses, notepad & pen, LM Supertool, tiny cheap flashlight, cigarettes (and sometimes an extra pack), D.R. Good custom damascus finger bone friction folder (very nice knife!) Jacket arrangement changes depending on which jacket I'm wearing.

Hi!

Hm, let's see..
Right front pocket: Emerson Commander.(what else???)
Left front pocket: MT UDT and Spydie Native + keys with Leatherman Micra.
Right back pocket: JSP Credit Card blade as money clip.
At belt: Sure-Fire 6P and Leatherman Super Tool.
Around neck: Emerson La Griffe, love it!
When wearing jacket/right front pocket: CRK&T KFF.
Left pocket: Spydie Native or SOG Nightvision.

Sometimes there's a Microtech LCC DA or DA Socom along for the ride...or my BM custom bali-song...or ASP 26".

No "pocket rockets", getting a CCW permit in Sweden isn't happening

Other wise i'd love to pack a Glock 19/26

Ah, the ubiquitous "What's in our pocketsis" thread (we miss you, Jim).

I am game, as always:

Right Front Pocket: Car/house keys w/white Photon2 and Red Micra; Small Sebenza (old model)

Left Front Pocket: Kydex money clip (usually empty
frown.gif
); Surefire E1; work keys with Victorinox Cybertool 29

Belt: Motorola Digital StarTAC; Pager; Leatherman Pulse

Left Breast Pocket: Fisher Astronaut Pen; Palm V

Currently, I just have a POS Regency Submariner knockoff, so I don't consider it worth including as part of my loadout.
