what´s your favourite "beater knife"?

Camillus Vietnam era KA-BAR fighting knife pattern and my Greco Falcon folder.

Just the other day I 'chopped' down a 3" diameter cherry tree with Falcon to make into a hiking stick. Took awhile but it was no problem. I've put that Falcon through more than any other folder I own and it just keeps flying :D

CRKT M16 - Cheap, easy to sharpen, easy to cut with, and cool looking! The pocket clip keeps it securely in my pocket. I have no problem "beating" it up.

Mora #1...it's been pounded through a lot of kindling, 2x4s, and other stuff. It's got a nice round depression in the edge where it encountered a screw deep within a 2x4...

Large Buck/Strider spearpoint. The knife just takes a beating and
begs for more.

It use to be my 'special occasion' knife. But after the first few months my AFCK became my beater knife.

It goes with me to work, school, camping, in the garden....whatever needs to be done gets done with my AFCK...it's even been partially abused....but thats what a beater is for...

Kershaw Vapor or Buck CrossLock take all the beater chores here , unless I have to look good doing it then it's the Small Plain Sebenza...although I do have a Large Seb on the way so this may change.

My Benchmade Panther. It's been long discontinued, but what a great deal for the money. I'm sure I didn't pay more than $30.00 for it, but it's done yeoman's service for me. As soon as I get ready to do yard work, it gets clipped on a pocket. If I come inside hours later and it's dirty, it takes five minutes to strip, clean, and strop. geegee

Gotta be my old style Cold Steel Trailmaster that was reprofiled expertly by Bill Siegle. Much better cutter than from the factory now(and they cut very well from the factory), and this knife has been through a lot. I threw the knife all day at a hardwood target and the only damage was that the thonghole tube worked it's way out. I had the knife rehandled by Craig Camerer; it turned out very well, and the knife is ready for more abuse. Doubtful if I throw the knife anymore though, but I'll bet it would take it just fine.

I don't know, probably either a Kershaw Vapor II, an Old Timer 8-OT, or a CRKT M-16. Just depends on what kind of beating needs to be done.

Microtech Kestral. I didn't like the blade style at first, but it's a heck of a 'all around beater.' It's heavy duty, small, but stout.
The hawk bill blade is a great cutter.

Benchmade emerson CQC7 plain blade, until I lost it haven't found a decent replacement yet, Tried a emerson Mach 1 wasn't satisfied.

Folder: Spyderco Delica or BM710 HS, depending on carrying circumstances.

Fixed blade: Cold Steel SRK

Used to be a CRKT Mirage Grey Ghost wharncliff, but i traded that one to my brother. I tend to use my BM AFCK for just about anything though.

My Classic Large Sebenza, after a few scratches on the handles who cares about any more, what a knife, built like a tank and cuts like a dream! LOL hehe

Cheers!
James

Sebenza for me too!!

The newness wore off a long time ago. The knife still locks up perfectly and I keep her scary sharp. All the dents and dings add character and memories :)

Another vote for the Endura. Other than having to resharpen a new tip twice it's been beat and still has zero play.
