What 2014 models will you be purchasing?

...just wondering what everyone is interested in this year. I saw that Knifecenter is now accepting pre-orders for most of the new upcoming 2014 models. I know it's still a little early but has anyone put in an order yet? I went for a Worker sprint; I don't want to miss this one.

kiwi 4. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they were making it locking, g10, vg10, and with a clip! Although I probably won't be able to pick it up due to the price tag:(....

Hopefully we'll get to see the remaining Super Blue Sprints, I'm all over those. The Tatanka is pretty high up on my list of wants, as is the Tusk even though I have no real use for a mariner knife.

The Tusk - I need a good knife with a marlin spike for sailing. Right now I'm carrying a Salt Endura plus a separate marlin spike, but with the Tusk I'll no longer need two separate tools.

Sage 3 Bolt Action Lock - Love the Sage. Love carbon fiber. This looks like a steel bolt, not plastic; therefore it's a buy.

Roc - I love cleavers.

edit:
Double Bevel - Probably one of these too. I love Terzuola knives.

Uggghh same here. That's a nice looking knife but it's out of my price range :grumpy: oh well!

  • Battlestation (C168G)
  • Mike Draper Folder (C171TIBL)
  • Tatanka (C180G)
  • Chaparral Stepped Titanium (C152STIP)
  • Firefly (C184GPOR)

  • Manix2 XL C95CFP2, CPM-S90V, Peel Ply Carbon Fiber Handle, Plain Edge
  • Stretch, Blue Nishijin Glass Fiber Handle, Damascus Blade

I have a brand new Spyderco Domino headed my way from BladeHQ. I doubt it's the 2014 model... But it's nice to see one of my favorite Spydercos is being continued.

After seeing the prices, none.

This! The prices on the new models are at the peak or surpass what I'm currently willing to pay. Combined with the MAP pricing issue with another brand, it looks like I'll be buying more value line folders for the time being.

I wanted the Worker and Kiwi4 but if KC pre-order pricing is indicative of what these models will go for I'll only consider the Kiwi4. Glad I picked up a lightly used Worker this year.

SB dragonfly. The new Chapparal looks great but if really sells for close to or above $300 then that is silly.

Those prices posted for the new Spyderco knives on KnifeCenter don't seem right as in way too high!

For instance, the Chaparral with Stepped Titanium Handles (C152STIP) is $157 more than the Chaparral with Titanium Handles (C152TIP)!

I dare say that if these are indeed indicative of street prices then you'll see far fewer sales!

To answer everyone posting about the prices at KnifeCenter, it's obvious to me they're trying to juice the pre-orders. It also seems obvious to me that prices will be quite a bit less than that next year after all dealers are well-stocked. I wouldn't get all worked up about it right now.
