What 2014 models will you be purchasing?

For instance, the Chaparral with Stepped Titanium Handles (C152STIP) is $157 more than the Chaparral with Titanium Handles (C152TIP)!

RamZar, I remember Sal talking about the stepped Ti scales. He said that producing them was VERY expensive, and more of a proof of concept rather than an attempt at a high production knife .

Tusk for sure. Probably a Worker. Maybe another Super Blue sprint. Probably a clipi tool or few, maybe a black Southard too.

I'll be getting a Kiwi 4, a Firefly and a Worker at a minimum. I'm intrigued by the Roc, but would really like to SEE one first before pulling the trigger. Also planning on a Friction Folder, a Hungarian, a Super Blue Dragonfly and a Super Blue Stretch.

Yes, that's a lot of CNC machining and quite stunning but it's still a BIG jump in MSRP price (if what KnifeCenter shows is right):

Chaparral CF (C152CFP): $185
Chaparral TI (C152TIP): $320
Chaparral STI (C152STIP): $565

So is Knifecenter just posting a pre-order price without actually knowing what these will cost, with the final price being adjusted at time of purchase? I've never heard of an example of KC gouging their customers...

The upcoming models do seem priced higher than what we've seen in the past, but most of them are completely new designs (not like building last year's Cruwear sprint off the existing Millie platform).

Anyhow, I'm finding myself more and more interested in the Battlestation also.

No, the MSRP has been stated on all these knives. The question is what will the various dealers be selling them for? Spyderco doesn't have a MAP policy as far as I know, and KnifeCenter isn't always even close to the price that other dealers sell for. For example, compare the price on the Hungarian at KnifeCenter and then at Knifeworks.

But I'm thinking that they are wanting to lock in some sales from those folks who want to have a lock on the knives early. That doesn't always work either. I had a Super Blue Delica on Pre-Order for several months, and only had them fill it this last Wednesday.

The folding k-bit with Emerson wave, already on order, and maybe a leaf shaped Swick.

Clip-it tools, the remaining super blue sprints, yeah...that's probably it. :o

Though, depending on when it comes out, maybe a worker sprint!

just show me the ROC

I definitely will be looking for a Spyderco C174GP... Love it, if they had it available right now, I'd be on it immediately...

Definetly the Firefly and the Worker (sprint run). Not sure about the Battlestation. Would have to see it in person. Almost seems like a Chinook wannabe.

Definitely a FFG Manix 2.
I love the Draper but it's very spendy. I think I'll wait to read some reviews of that one. I wish it was being made in Taichung.

The picture of the Kiwi 4 looks like the scales are rivetted and therefore not removable. Do you agree?

The G-10 is pinned, but the pivot is adjustable. Kinda like the light weight Manix 2

The Tatanka is the only one I want. But whether or not I get one depends on the price. I can, like most knives, live without it.

I was lucky and got a domino for my birthday. :) other then that, probably a g10 FFG manix 2 and a super blue dragonfly. I was interested in the worker until I saw the price.
