4 of my favorite knives (of any manufacturer)
Calypso Jr. - Micarta first, but Zytel is very servicable
Dragonfly - carbon fiber first, Zytel or Stainless is great also
Rookie - really love the G-10 version
Starmate - Nice package, very slim and sturdy, 440V is nice

I also have grown really fond of the S30V Native (in my pocket now)
The S30V on the Native has held an edge well since I got this one in February.

I say buy the Native S30V and Native III, these are my favorite mid-size Spydercos. Buy a Dodo, it is a great hand filling knife with a smaller blade. Get either the ATR or Military if you like larger knives, both are really great knives. Finally, I have come to really appreciate the Dragonfly, it is such a practical smaller knife and I love to use it in knife unfriendly environments. Although I know I'm well over four Spydercos, you should consider a Ladybug or Jester, these keychain knives are always on hand and totally sheeple friendly or at least if someone complained about a Jester or Ladybug, I would just have to tell them to go to hell.:p

some of my faves are the Lum Chinese and Lum Tanto. Beautiful workmanship and really slick action. The folding Tanto is really underrated. I like the Herbst as well, it'a a really nice everydat carry piece. Many here love the Military though I have never owned one, it's a possible purchase for me.

What I would buy if it was only folders that I was interested in are the CF Police, ATR, Military and Native. If fixed blades were included I would change the Military to a Ronin and the native to a Temperance.

Native, Starmate, Renegade, Salsa,
but to be honest, you need to get them all.

Get a SS Cricket, either PE or SE. I'm going to get a Native in S30V sooner or later and everyone seems to love that knife, so I would try that for sure. Or the Native III.

Endura FRN/SE
Military CE
Dragonfly SS PE
Cricket SE(4 handle varieties so far: frn, cf, ss, alum/tufram)

Which four should you buy? Well, Kennieyk, if you want to go with small knives:
1)new Delica with VG-10 blade
2)Dodo
3)Salsa
4)Native III

If you want bigger blades:
1)Military
2)Police
3)Civilian
4)Spyderhawk

I carry a 50/50 Delica '98 as my EDC and it does everything I could ask from a knife.

Flinx

PS: If you want an in-between knife the Lil Temperance has a 3" blade with a wide, hand-filling handle

The Vesuvius you've shown has a compression lock, but its clip is for right-hand carry. The compression lock, as a no-nonsense method of keeping the knife locked open, is ambidextrous. As a neat way to fling the blade open or closed, it is right-handed.

Why would you need four more? I mean, you need an ATR, a Li'l Temperance of either blade type, a Dodo, and a Spyderhawk, but, after that, why would you need eight more? Sure, you need either a Native or Native III, a Gunting, a Moran FB02, a Temperance, a Ronin, the Military, a 93mm Rescue, and a Salsa (I prefer the AUS-8/Aluminum over the ATS-34/Titanium), but why the other 23? Really, after you get...

:D
