What 8" blade do you prefer?

So I'm conflicted. I have a DSSF and original Team Gemini. Now I'm looking to get a NMSFNO. If you had to choose one, which would it be? I'll probably end up keeping them all even though I shouldn't. Is there another ~8" blade you prefer?

(Let's not turn this into another B8 thread)

(That means you Will, Tom, etc...:p)

I really am a big fan of my TGLB. However, I'm quite excited to get my NMSFNO from the ganza...time will tell. I'll likely keep them all as well. As someone once said, Never sell INFI

I haven't had the chance to handle a DSSF yet but they've been in my radar for a couple weeks now. My fear is the thin straight handle with slip in my hand. I've kinda wanted a NMSFNO for a while now but always pass on them hoping to snag a HHFSH or HOGFSH. So far, the HHFSH and HOGFSH both seem like ideal eight inch blades for me.

RATWEILER. If it must be INFI, the FSH is also choice...but the Ratweiler will perform similarly.

A mint HOGFSH with snake skin handle would be No.1 on my want list, but I think it's also one of those models extremely hard to come across nowadays...
I currently own a NMSFNO which is one of my favorite 8" blade, looking for a comp finish TGLB at the moment, also I'm waiting to see the upcoming Basic 8 LE

I like my TGLB, nmfsh, and team gemini bit there is something about the feel of the NMSFNO that makes everything right in the world.

I hear you... I have a DSF and a TGLB, and have been looking at all those AWESOME NMSFNO's popping up lately.
Really making me want to try one out too. :grumpy:

I think I'm going to wait for the release of the B-8 and try that first. If I don't like it, then NMSFNO here I come! :D

Ratweiler is almost always the right answer.

I prefer the Fusion handle to the Special Forces handle on the 8" blades, so it is FSH for me. The preferred iteration there is 0.27" thick, sabre ground, ie one of the original 400 HHFSH. After that, the 0.27" flat gound variants. The market price on the HHFSH has been falling, but the NMSFNO are still a better value.

The Easton Show Special version, with a DCBB job by Garth. May be a one-off, AFAIK.

This is one of the original FSH at 0.25", modded for me by Ban.

Many people overlook the Mojo/Mofo blades at 8". You shouldn't. There are many models, but this one is mine.

If you have a couple of the newer offers you could not go wrong picking up some old school infi like the SHe.

Lots of SH suggestions here. I feel you all on that. I had a few different SH models but just couldn't fall in love with them. I have a NMFBM so maybe that's why. I find the SHs to be too heavy for that length of blade. I like the MOFO/MOJO suggestion.

I think handle shape and balance--"feel"--may be the real difference you're sorting out. If the NMSFNO, FSH, E-handle or Euro Mojo/Mofo's don't pan out, I find the SARGE comfortable in a very different configuration--also the SAR8 may do it for you.

Of course, to me nothing competes with Resiprene, but you knew that. :)
