What a 10.0 score nosedive looks like from a Leek

Just a quick update, I used the vice idea and let it set for the day. Before I couldn't even close it but now, it's gotten much better. I also have been bending it between my fingers after heating it slightly with a hair dryer in hopes to get it more malleable. Now I can actually close it, the spine and edge is aligned for the most part but the tip I'm having trouble with it.

As Jason suggested, I've been bending it between my fingers and I just realized how flexible my leek really is. didn't know this about sandvick before today

Pictures to follow promptly...

I did it with a scallion, first time I flipped it fell on the floor and stuck into the wood floor and bent. I bent it back somewhat but it still isn't right.

sorry about all the re-editing, I'm still adjusting to how to post pictures on the actual post. I personally enjoy viewing posts without having to click links or attachments and such.

But yeah this is the progress so far. I find the tip that you see bent is really difficult to straighten out. Ive been gently using my Wave pliers coated in froglube(lol) to limit damage to the blade coating. actually works

no idea, try photobucket. I've also bent my Leek but that was after trying it out on hardwood trying to get a fire bow going. (drilling holes and all) Not a great knife at all for that purpose but I was just having fun with it. 1/4" bent at the tip to maybe 10 degrees. I just bent it back with my hands and it seems fine. When I bought it I knew it was going to happen because of how thin the blade is, no surprises there.

I did that with a custom LEO from Trace Rinaldi. I damn near cried! I sent it to him and he fixed it up free of charge, plus he refinished the whole knife! When I got it back it looked better than new! I'd just send it to Kershaw.

Let me join the chorus, just send it back to Kershaw and get it rebladed. The Leek is a fine knife--I have three, I think. Weird things happen. Don't take it personally; just fix it.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I'm gonna take the tips about sending some pics to Kershaw. Hopefully ill be able to send you guys some updated pics or info on the process this takes in case anyone else is thinking about dealing with their customer service and its' quality.
