What a day! Hike, steel, and fish! Pic HEAVY!!

With all the rain we had here the last week, it was nice to enjoy a beautiful day. It started this morning when Marcelo, the kids and went on nice lil hike.

Trail head.



Check out the size of this burl.




The trail went around this pretty lil lake/pond.


We spotted a bunch of lil fish. Sorry about the pic. I held my polarized sunglasses over the camera lens to see the fish.


A bunch of water snakes were around the shore.


I figured you guys wouuld want a better view, so I got all Crocadile hunter on his ass. Lil bastard was super aggressive.

After that it was off to my place for some lunch and to check out some new steel.
Awhile ago I posted a thread about wanting a knife to take fishing. SDS suggested I design my own. I sent the design to SDS and Nick allen


SDS has a thread on his forum about the whole process which was really cool.

When Nick got the design, he asked if he could change some things. Ofcourse I said yes. His knife designs are far better than mine. Here is what he came up with. The NWA is D2 steel









I will do a review on both knives when I have time.

Oh and here is a bad ass David Farme I recently aquired!

Marcelo left about 1430. Big Mike wasn't around for an afternoon hike, so I went fishing.

Here's the Camo boat so the fish don't see me coming!!!



I tried to get some action shots. Pretty hard to do by your self....









The bass were more than willing to bite as well. I caught about a dozen, but not all were pic worthy..





The ofcourse the wind and the rain came in.


I decided to call it a day. But not before 1 more nice bass!

Great pics, love the Bass shots, I haven't been Bass fishing in over 20 years. But fishing is on the agenda for this summer :thumbup: Tony, maybe you could give me a little refresher course :D

Look's like you had a great time & some good fishing ! I like the new steel also :thumbup: How does the Maxpedition pack fit ? I'm 6'1" 209lbs & have been looking at them online for a while...just wandering how they fit a Big person ?:p

It fits me great. I wouldn't take that as a go buy it now though....
Being I'm 5'8 and 165...
