• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What a knife fight really looks like

Having seen hundreds of these in person, let me reiterate-STAB THEM. I can guarantee that these guys were not playing, or trying not to hurt each other. For all you tough talking bad a##'s out there, it takes a bit of work to sit around and carve another human being like a piece of meat. Back to the lesson-the human body deals far better with slashes than it does with being deeply punctured in vital areas. It also goes back to knife "fighting" being a stupid idea. Start thinking about immediate, viscious, termination without "fighting" or dancing with knives.

Well it may not be a good combat strategy, but I think you'll have to concede that it's a fairly entertaining nickname!

Joking aside, it is true that a lot of sparring in martial arts academies is more like knife fencing or a knife version of touch football. Marc MacYoung said that his view of "knife fighting" changed a lot when he got a lesson from a retired military guy who took out a bunch of people with a knife. It was way different from what you see in many martial arts academies.
