Went out side to get the mail and in the grader ditch the was a beer bottle , so went to get it out for when i mow, well there laid a knife about ten inch long some one let it rust up and did not want to fix it. after a little sanding i see some id marks on it , no name just item #'s.
well the wife not knowing i checked the mail already went out to get it, and when she returned, she had a knife to. it was a 8" knife,

I went hunting years ago right in a patch of woods off a major highway. Right as I stepped into the woods I see something shining on the ground. Naturally my attention is drawn to is (Ooooooh look a shiney!!!) clear out some of the debris around it and I find a bali sitting right there. My guess was someone was getting pulled over and decided to pitch the bali out of the car.

Haha! That would make sense cause you're in Jersey

Vern, my kids lost a couple in the storm last night while out snipe hunting. Snipes really love lightning, you know! I'll gladly take them back. . . . Down off of James Street, right?

My job keeps me driving to all kinds of places.

One day, I had to go to a local gas station to check on a project and was scoping out one of the light poles beside the truck entrance.

Now, this is a very popular truck stop because it's the last one on this route to Columbia. They are always doing stuff to the parking lot because the big trucks wear them out that quick.

As I'm looking at the pole in question, I note that it doesn't have a handhole cover at the base. Scrounging around in the mulch to find the blasted thing, thinking it wasn't put on by the last tech to check this pole, what do I find?

That's right folks, the hunk of rusty metal that I thought was a cover plate turned out to be a heavily rusted carpenter's broadaxe.

That's right. It's deeply pitted from age and exposure, no hope of salvaging, but there's no mistaking the single bevel. It's for a right-handed carpenter!

How in the world did it land there.....???

with eleven unsolved murders here, its ok there was not one over the weekend.

Vern, did you see they got 15" of rain up in Delhi? How's the flooding been down your way? We had a little here in Pleasant Hill, but only enough to close one road for about 24 hours.

My buddy found a Ruger 10-22 in a ditch on his farm. Stainless with synthetic stock. No rust on it at all, so it had not been there very long.
