One of my most used sayings is " There is no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing !".....Yeah well today the weather sucked !!!!

Last night we had crazy strong winds that carried on into the early morning. Me and Mrs Pit had lay awake since 02:00 expecting the roof to come off our house, finally getting up at 05:00 to see where the BBQ etc had blown to !!!!

Anyway I hit the woods later in the morning, the wind had died down a little but the rain continued !

At least the water looked nice~

Yeah I wasn't gonna attempt to cross that !

It will pass!

Not soon enough !:D

I had planned on going to a different place today to check out all the tree's that would be down after last night. I got within about 15 minutes of the park and was turned around by a cop because there were power lines down blocking the road !

You went out today? You're a braver man then I. We're supposed to get 80mph gusts at the beach. I was eating my lunch in the car and the car was shaking.

Bummer on the rain..... the only thing that makes rain nice is if it's hot and been too dry. Good to see Snicker had her "Slicker".

BTW, that knife in the tree looks a bit different that the Breeden one.....?

Yeah same here, I could feel our house shaking last night !!!

yea I tell you what pitdog. As many threads as you have posted recently and as much rain as you have had. YUCK lol.
I hate that type of weather. I think you have a great place to hike in but man you get to much rain for me.
That pic of snicker she really looks like she is ready to get home and out of the rain.

Correct call on not crossing that log. Broken leg, cracked ribs, ruptured testicals.........which is a segue to your.... SAK. Never saw one like that before, interesting.

Is it just me, or does Pit never seem to go to work? Just galavantin' around heaven taken pictures and makin me jealous,, in any weather.:D

What rain gear are you using, buddy? I'm in the market for something other than my poncho.

My Buffalo special 6 shirt....awesome bit of kit but I'm afraid they are an English company so it makes it tough getting them in Canada or the US !

I've not really come across anything similar over here. In England two companies, RAB and Montane also make similar garments.

Still some cool photos, I love your area up there. We had one of those really windy days while we were in Florida. Some crazy winds that had some major white caps going in the bay.

Yeah I still carry my SAK for the saw !

Yeah, I'd like to be able to say it's also for the sheeple-friendliness too but hnestly the saw is the one thing that really earns my SAK a spot in my pocket in the bush.
