Well the weather was beautiful today and I was looking forward to a day fishing on the lake. Then I got a phone cal from Marcelo's wife. There son's bday party originaly scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to today due to the rain coming in tomorrow. So obviously I didn't have time to go fishing, so I talked Marcelo into going for a hike before the party. It didn't take much convincing....

Enjoy the pics!

Any idea what plant this is?????

Found some False Tinder Fungus. I lit some and it smoldered for a long time!
I took a bunch of it home to let it dry out. I want to see if I get it to take a spark from a flint and steal.

More to come...

Marcelo testing out the new Gossman PSN

After the hike it was off to Marcelo's son's party!

The kids had a blast!!!!

Then a couple of punks came and crashed the party...

Thanks for looking!!

Tony, I recognize that “secret” spot.

awesome pics Tony... looks like a great day indeed man...

love the vato shot at the end...

Nice pics. Too bad you didn't get your fishing trip, but at least you got to tend to a party :D

Sorry I am exploiting your secret spot Mike:o

I made Marcelo pinky swear not to tell anyone about it though:D

LOL Mike. You see what happens when you give kids bandanas...:p

Haha Mike I was thinking the same Vato thing ... blood in blood out !

Looks like a great time it's nice to see the greenery starting to sprout.

Looks like your kids had a blast at the animal farm. I had to take a double look at the shot with the horse - thinking 'is that girl really milking a horse??' then realized she was cleaning its shoe :D :D

Excellent forest shots. I so jealous of the green you have there. Also that Scott Gossman is amazing looking. I really love the handle on that one and the blade shape looks perfect!

Great pictures Tony, thanks for sharing. We're not quite that far into Spring yet, but we should be catching up in a few weeks.

No idea what that plant is, but it's cool in a "mysterious dark loner" sort of way.

All the best,

- Mike

Tony,
I noticed Big Mike had to write prose in the fog and you got to be out in the sunshine.
Don't the two of you like close by to one another?;)
(and don't tell me it was your sunny disposition. I know better :D)

wow, from the few pics i have seen of marcelo, it was remarkably easy to tell which kid was his.

great blades too, as always.

The fog lifted by mid morning and it was a clear and sunny by noon.

It got quite warm in the afternoon, as you see see by "El Vato's Locos" wardrobe.
