I remain a bit confused about the handle material G-10 (as present on this Buck 110 Folding Hunter Pro). It is certainly courser than any Micarta branded handles I have - is G-10 a form of Micarta or another type of laminate? OH

G10 is a resin based laminate of glass cloth, fiberglass micarta, sort of.

I believe that G-10 is similar to micarta, but instead of using laminated paper of cloth, it use laminated fiberglass instead.
