What about Knives and Flashlights?

Are you the guy I bought a bunch of knives from? Pretty sure you are. Wanted to acknowledge all the deals. Started with the push cut Pingo, sharpest knife in my collection. Been away since I retired and most of my disposable income is now directed to travel. Treasure all the knives I bought from you, pictures to come.

Liong Mah Field Duty was the knife that made me start looking at Reate a little differently. The nice build quality and high tolerances help to ease my anti-CCP biases when it comes to knife making. I was already won over on Taiwan as a Spyderco fan.

Wuben is a Chinese flashlight maker. These X2s are an older design of Wuben's that have amazing machining in Ti, Cu, and Al. I've taken these apart and each piece is a little work of machining art. There are loads of spots to add trits or glow tubes.

The emitters are ok,but not amazing. The battery is not replaceable. But these are two things that I no longer view as permanent. As battery and emitter tech continue to evolve, I prefer to look at these light bodies as platforms for what I may do with them later, as well as enjoying them now. These lights are not glued together, so you have access to everything. I'm a big fan of the design and look forward to tinkering with them in the future. I think Wuben has lost its way in recent years and doesn't offer lights that I prefer over its competitors any more, but I hope that they get their mojo back sometime.

The other copper light is a Noctigon KR1 with a short battery tube. This is set up for throw, as oposed to the Wuben X2's flood. Full fledged flashlight nerds will carry more than one light. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. ;)
