My grandma recently gave me my great grandpa’s flashlight he kept on the back porch. I know they made a ton of them, so it’s not collectible, but It’s in great condition…gramps was one of those that took excellent care of his tools.

After I thought I'd lost my Gerber Firecracker for the umpteenth time (since December of last year), I found it today cleaning house at the bottom of a wall heater that I must have forgotten the last time I lit the pilot.

While not real bright by todays standards, years ago I had it with me camping out in the Mexican desert in Baja, and it was brighter than most of the flashlights at the time.

The Fenix PD25 I got to replace the Gerber, with 4 settings and a rechargeable battery it's a great size and carry.

The PD40R is a great hand sized flashlight with LOTS of power and can be recharged by plugging directly into the flashlight.

That's awesome Lee, I have a very similar light and similar story. It was my Mother in Laws and I'm one of the lucky Son in Laws that got along great with his Mother in Law🙂 It's a C battery light that she used often on the farm. I'll have to post it up:thumbsup:
