I haven't been around a whole lot lately but there doesn't seem to be any talk of the MT LCC anymore. I know for a while there it was all everyone wanted to talk about. I just started carring mine again this week and I had forgotten how much I liked this knife. The only complant that I ever had with it was that its a little on the heavy side. Well theres really no point to my thread other than to see how many of us are still enjoying our LCC's. :)

Funny you should bring up the topic. I just had mine out today and again admired the quality and workmanship. One of MT's best efforts.;)

I've owned two and traded both for something else because I never carried it because I thought it was to big. I'm missing not having one around. maybe I'll try one again they are an excellent knife in every respect.

I recently traded for one (D/A with micarta handles) and really like it. As commented, it is a little on the heavy side, so maybe I'll get a CF one as well, just to compare...:D

Hey Guys...

I've got an LCC as well, and yes, although it is a heavy knife,, its a Hell of a knife..

When your holding it, you know you've got a knife in yuor hand.. The weight doesn't bother me too much...

Bobby,, how do you like the D/A feature ??
Is it a button release or a bolster release ??

I played with a bolster release at the Novi show,, Really liked it,,but it was auto only. I'd much rather have a D/A bolster release.. Yaa never know, it may be passed by if the inspection wasn't so close..
Hard to get passed by on that button though....

Bring it to toronto with you in april,,love to have a look at it..

Bolster release:D Auto??? What auto??? My car is over there Ociffer...:D

I have a LCC - green micarta handle, black combo blade in S90V, D/A - One of 200 made. One though cookie of a knife :-)

Only thing I do not like is the way you have to "re-grab" your knife after using the auto-function. You can't hold the knife decently and engage the auto-function at the same time. In other words, the auto-function is slow. Deploying my Al Mar SERE 2000 is much faster.

I have two LCCs (M/A). One of them is a permanent fixture in my EDC rotation. At first I thought that it was a bit heavy, but it fits in my hand so well, and the shape rides so comfortably in my pocket, that the weight has since stopped being an issue.

If you want to talk about heavy, have you tried an MOD CQD or Buck Strider?

The LCC is certainly one of the best knives in recent years.

Great engineering. Excellent workmanship. Wonder to hold and behold.

Value for money. If you don't have one, get one (beg or borrow money but don't steal!)

I recently sold my gen3 LCC D/A... the knife was so pretty that I was afraid to carry or use it, for fear of ruining the worksmanship. I decided that I only want to own knives that I'm willing to use. I loved the fit, finish, and hefty feel, as well as the Ti/CF handle, and the B-C blade coating was perfect. I agree that the automatic action was rather slow, and I felt that it was more for show than anything else, as I could draw the blade faster manually, since I did not have to regrip. The bolster release is a great 007 feature, hiding the auto function well, but at the expense of draw speed. My spydie milli is so far the quickest folder I've owned, since all it takes is a quick wrist flick to whip it into action. I don't even need to touch the hole, plus I'm not afraid of ruining a $300 knife!

I've toted one as an EDC ever since it was released (and have several "special" LCC's stuffed in the safe).

I find the knife to be very easy to carry.

Beautiful knife !

Love the hidden release ! :D

I have mine and love it. So what if it is heavy? i used to carry it all day and didnt really notice the weight. I am working on putting ironwood scales on it and polishing up the blade more ( I know, i started this over a year ago :P), and wish it was done so I could carry it again! but my mini socom or vector usually accompany me, or my Tom Anderson Howler from the Folder In.

I loved my LCC, but found I didn't carry it often. (I prefer even bigger knives like the Sifu and Maxx.) So I finally gave it to a good friend of mine who is a professional artist. He has never regularly carried a knife before, but this one seems to suit him. It is stylish enough for business meetings while tough enough for wilderness survival. And he is endlessly fascinated by just how well the thing cuts. I think I've made a convert. :)

The LCC was recently my first knife purchase and my first real EDC blade. It is a pretty high quality knife, and there are many features about it that I like.

I have been thinking about something a little smaller and more convenient for EDC, but choices become more difficult when fit and finish are such a high priority. For now however I'll stick with the LCC. It's a really nice knife.

Thanks for all the great replies guys. I have also found that the 154CM blade takes a very good edge. It surprised me how sharp that I could get it. I have always found that it was fairly easy to sharpen as well. I'm not saying that the weight of the knife is a bad thing, thats is just the only thing that I can find about this knife to complain about.

I only started using mine a while ago and I really love that thin edge! The engineering and build quality is the most impressive of any production folder I have seen. I found that the bolsters tend scratch to easy and have given them a satin finish, which looks great. All in all a beautiful and fine knife. It has become part of my rotation, some days even replacing my military.

Eric...

Now I must be missing something.

I didn't know "auto-only" LCC being available
Button firing?

I've only heard about bolster release d/a LCC...
... and mine is just like that.

Perhaps my favourite "utility" folder.
Weight doesn't bother me at all - it isn't (or at least so I think) any "gent's knife" at all.

I have two M/As (in 154CM and S30V), and love them both. Their weight, for me, is actually a plus ... love the feel in the hand, you know you have a knife.

Great knife.
