What about the MT LCC?

I agree with koolstof, that you have to hold the knife at an odd angle to operate it. The SERE DA is much smoother.

In fact, when I first got my LCC, I slit my palm slightly when I opened. My hands are large and in order to get my thumb down far enough to reach the bolster, my palm goes in front of the blade. I have since then learned to hold it differently.

I do love the quality though.

i have had 3 MT LCC's so far, still have a LNIB gen 1 w/CF and ti bolsters, black plain edge blade, have never carried/sharpened, just admired it, i had to get it after i swapped off my other 2, one gen 1 like the one i have now, and one gen 3 w/the alum bolsters and green micarta plain edge blade (i like the gen 1's myself, the 2 and 3s are ok, but i prefer the 1's)

an excellent knife, as all MT are, very well designed/made, almost custom in q' imho, they most def rock

i really like mine, and will never again be w/out one, for long, anyway

I've owned several LCC's, and I just wound up selling two of them because "they're too pretty." These were the older titanium models, and I felt that if I dropped one the re-sale value would decline. It is a fantastic knife, and my micarta handled one is part of my 'permanent collection.'

But I've come to the point where I carry what I own, and if it gets dinged, so be it. That being said, I bought a newer LCC with aluminum bolsters. I figured if it aged as an EDC it wouldn't be so painful. That model is made from 154-CM, a great steel.

Sure, I'd love to have one of those models with the titanium bolsters and a blade of S90V. But knowing myself, it would just gather dust.
