Have they been discuntinued? Are they a good knife? How do they cut and carry? They seem kinda high priced to me.Wonder how they compare to the proventor?

In my opinion....

Nearly everything about the Ocelot was perfect...nearly.
The "paw prints" I can take or leave, it really does not matter...but the MSRP price is just too high.

it's still there, but i bet it won't make it to the '08 catalog.

i personally don't see what's nice about it all, it's too pricey, plus i bet it's not that great a seller.......

edit: think the model only appeals to hunters with an odd sense of humor....... ;)

I don't own an Ocelot, but as a hunter I think the blade profile would excel as a general purpose hunting blade. However, the paw print cutouts on the handle seem like they would be gut and grime traps that would be damn near impossible to clean.

It's designed by Wegner and looks very similar to the now-discontinued Spyderco Wegner models - - which is a great knife.

MSRP is a bit high but I've found it online for $125 and on EBay for $100. Not bad considering materials. I'm getting one for Christmas.

ETA: I have the Stretch as well and although comparable, I'd prefer the grip design of the Ocelot.
