What AG Russell knives do you have?

Hi Folks,

I'm a AG Russell fan and have several of his knives. IMHO they are a great value for the money, his customer service is exceptional, and besides he supports Bladeforums! I had the opportunity recently to send him a PM. Knowing how busy he is with his travels, design work and other activities, I was most pleasantly surprised when he responded the same day I sent it.

Anyway, the main reason for this post is to ask what AG Russell knife (knives) you may have and if you can post a picture of them, even better. Here are some of the limited selection I have so far. Top to bottom, left to right: Banana trapper, Cocobolo medium barlow, Curved regular jack in amber bone spear blade, Rancher in yellow delrin, Curved regular jack in amber bone, wharncliffe blade and Rancher in ebony rucarta .

I also recently received one of his newest designs, the Small Skorpion with the featherlite handle. It's a very nice, easy to open, lightweight knife. I don't have a my own picture of it yet but here is one from AG Russell. It's the bottom one knife in the photo.

Thanks for taking the time to respond! :)

BTW, Mods if this post is in the wrong spot, my apologies and would you be kind enough to move it to the right forum, thanks.

As I just posted in this thread, I'm sort of in love with my new A.G. Russell Skorpion flipper:

EG:

Thanks for the picture of your Skorpion. I plan on carrying my small version, sans clip, in my dress slack at work. It's light and small enough not to be intrusive, and boy is that blade shape great looking!

I have a few. Don't have pictures of them all though.

Couple of AG Russell Swing Guards, one with a Boker tree shield.

I have the medium jack in amber bone with the zulu spear blade. I have the medium jack in white bone with a wharncliff blade. I have the barlow as shown in the OP's pic, with the Rucarta scales as well.

Love them all. AGR is the best.

Sorry,I don't think I have a photo of my 3" lockback by it's self. I really like this knife. It is so light and thin I forget it is in my pocket until I need it.

I'll take better pictures tomorrow. I've got a Premium Scout and a Woodswalker, both of them have been great and are among my favourite knives. The Premium Scout has a combination of features that I had been looking for for years: it has the cool look of a nice traditional slipjoint, with a small tool selection similar to a Vic Pioneer and high quality modern stainless steel main blade (154CM). The Woodswalker is a pocket scalpel, when I first got it I was a bit surprised but how thin it was but it has proven to be a great little tool.

I had a Featherlite for a little while, but I didn't like how it felt (a tad too feather light for me) and gave it to an ultralight hiker mate of mine who loves it.

Thanks folks,

They're all great looking knives. I appreciate you posting them for us to see.
Bob W, I've been thinking about getting something from the Deer Hunter, Bird and Trout, and Hunters Scalpel series as well.
Keep 'em coming!

Nice knives, gang.
My favorite AGR knife is my Coral Rucarta Cowboy.
The new Skorpion is off the chain. A. G. can STILL design a knife!!

I bought this one at Blade Show for my youngest son (age 7). It is his first pocket knife. His older brother has a nice collection so I thought I would get him started. He isn't allowed to carry or use yet but will begin to learn whittling during this summer.

A buddy of mine uses his Bird and Trout for cleaning elk. Seems the perfect size for food prep too, and light utility cutting.

I rarely have ever needed to cut anything while working or living outdoors, so I find the Hunters Scalpel more than sufficient.

I love that new A.G. Russell Skorpion, just saw it for the first time this week on the cover of my A.G Russell catalog. I plan on ordering one very soon, it looks like yet another great design by Mr. Russell.

I have 3 A.G. Russell exclusives...does that count??

Cool knives!

I can't even list offhand all of the knives I've purchased from Mr. Russell over the years, many of which were/are AG exclusives or impossible to find anywhere else. Marbles, Maserin, Bruckmann, Paragon, Blackjack, Timberline, Benchmark...

AG Russell Acies and a Kershaw Mini Cyclone in Ti/ZDP. I looked around and don't have a picture of my Acies 2...sorry.

His Gentlemen's Folder is on my short list too.

I've had a number over the years. At the current time, I've got two:

1. Bird and Trout - had it since the 1990s. Great little utility blade and neck knife.

2. At the Blade Show, I bought one of the new Folding Cooks Knife II. A really cool rucarta-handled folding kitchen Santoku blade that is perfect for food prep - and folds away for stowing when camping.
