What AG Russell knives do you have?

I've got a couple A.G. is my favourite knife designer/manufacturer

And most recently I got this one, haven't taken any pictures of it yet though.

(Also, an A.G. Russell Ultimate Penknife)

Cool idea for a thread Mark. Here is the current one I carry to do work around my place.

Outstanding quality for the money. Also have one of his lockback barlows with the zulu spear. Highly recommend it as well.

Thanks folks for what you've posted so far. They're all great knives. It makes me wanting to get more of the offerings from Mr. Russell. Each new catalog I receive has another item prodding me to open my wallet. :topsy_turvy:

Please keep on posting!

Mark

That's a great knife. I had the same one and it was a little too square for my taste. But impeccable in it's fit and finish.

I have a few of A.G.'s designs. The Bird and Trout is one of my favorites. My wife's, as well(It's in her desk at work.) The A.G.Russell catalog is what started me on decent knives. I bought a pair of nail clippers and I remember being taken aback by the prices in the catalog that came with them. Not so much anymore. "Hey, that's only $130! Maybe I'll get that one next."

I did learn an important lesson from A.G.'s catalogs: Don't hesitate when it comes to exclusives. I lusted after a Bark River Mountaineer in Chinese Quince Burl for one too many catalogs. Now I scour the internet looking for one like it's a lost family member. :(

I bought this one at Blade Show for my youngest son (age 7). It is his first pocket knife. His older brother has a nice collection so I thought I would get him started. He isn't allowed to carry or use yet but will begin to learn whittling during this summer.

What a cool Dad you are !! Your son is very fortunate to have you for his father. (Where can I find one of these knives and what are they called)

You too? :(

Hi Folks,

All the knives you've posted are great examples of Mr. Russell's designs and executions. I appreciate you sharing them with us.
If you're willing, please keep them coming.

Regards,
Mark

Very interesting and beautiful knife. Appears the detente nub is on the blade?

Nope, that is the detente hole. Just a trick of the lighting I guess. Thank you for the compliment, it's the Acies 2, I had Alex Dietz anodize it blue and he buffed the hardware.

Alex does great work. Your knife looks great.
I've had this Toothpick since 2004. Saddly the acorn shield was lost awhile ago. Been looking for a replacement
