What am I missing???

One of the best self defense tools you can carry legaly anywhere we all have already........Your keys, and no one will ever say anything about them, if used right they are great for self defense.

I would recommend the Luminox 3000 series dive watch. I have the 3001 and I really like it. It looks really great and seems pretty tough. Also, you need a Traser glow ring and I always carry a lanyard of about 6 feet of 550 paracord on my keychain. Paracord is great in an emergency, like when I had to tie the hatch shut on my jeep.

Would the glowring hold up to repeated bashes against hard objects? My keys get bashed around a lot!

How long does 6 feet of paracord become braided into a lanyard?

Also, I'll check out that watch. How much am I looking at?

Well, I just won auctions for the SOG SEAL Pup and Buck Strider Solution knives. Hopefully those take care of my EDC fixed blade...for now...

;)

The bank wanted to charge me just as much for a cheap @$$ one, so I figured. "What the heck!" and bought one with the rest of the stuff I was ordering!

Now stop laughing and suggest something! :p

Get a PDA. Now. There is so much great software at Palmgear.
Choice of software is very personal, but you should at least have a database (probably ThinkDB or HanDBase) and a spreadsheet (MiniCalc or TinySheet).
I like to use FITALY stamp (www.fitaly.com) instead of Graffiti for entering the data.
There's all kinds of great software for holding books, etc. And then there's all the modules like phone, camera and GPS.
You can even use your Palm as a solar compass.
I am sure there is also "knife" and "gear" software for keeping track of what's on your keychain. ;)

And by the way -- you can get a small 3' tape measure at most hardware stores. I love mine.

Hi,

I would recommend the following, in addition to what you have already mentioned:

1. A Fox40 Whistle
2. A Swisstech Utili-Key
3. A Windmill Delta Stormproof lighter
4. A button Compass
5. A pocket kitchen sink....LOL just kidding!!!

Man, I think I carry too much sometimes.:D

You'd get a Utili-Key even though I've got an 806D2, CrossCut, Micra, Wave, and Powerlock?

Do you have a Windmill lighter? How do you like it?

My glowring has been on my keys for about a year and it has been through some hell! As far as the braid; I use a Reeve knot and then I tie it into a loop so that it almost makes a handle for my keys.

Well, now I've got a SOG SEAL Pup, Buck/Strider Solution, and Leatherman Supertool 200 on its way to me...:D

They contain too much tritium for US and Canada standards.

Well, actually, they meet spec, but the government wants the company to pay for expensive licensing, so they have stopped shipping to the US...:(

Another watch you might want to look into is the Invicta 8926. An amazing watch for around $100.
