What are people's obsession's/passion's?

My primary interests are the outdoors, the Old Timer knife collection, and computers.

Plenty of other small hobbies to go along with those too such as general knife Accumulating, photography, convertible driving, motorcycling, travel and sightseeing, films, and family and pets. Then there's a mess of smaller hobbies that I do infrequently like fishing, Stratocaster guitar, geocaching, local history, and restoring our historic home. Not to mention whatever sports, clubs, or activities the boy has going at the moment.

My number one hobbie is home made firearms, I started building AR type rifles from off the shelf parts followed by milling 80% receivers then onto 30%&0% forgings and now I've evolved to welding de-milled "parts kits" and building guns from scratch. Suppressors too (but so far I've only been able to afford & wait for 3 stamps)

My first completely home built gun (other than a 0% AR) was a .22lr "zip gun", the 2 weapons I'm most proud of are my my RPK re-weld and my machined from a block of aluminum Luger in 9x18

For the past 6-8 months I've been workin on a long-stroke gas piston 870 (far from a conversion, its 100% custom, just built off an 870), once its done, if ever, it'll be my favorite.

My latest obsession is Japanse diesel trucks. I now have six plus parts trucks. I have three Toyotas a Mazda a Isuzu and my latest a 1986 Ford Ranger with a Mitsubishi turbo diesel . I bought it at an auction a month ago and am very impressed with it. It gets over 30 mpg and hasplenty of power. These trucks are very simple and can last for ever. I hace a 1885 Toyota turbo diesel parts truck that has over one million miles on it.
Our passion is children. We were foster parents for fifteen years..Six of our eight children are adopted. Our seventeeth grand child will soon be born. Twelve of them are boys. My mission is to cutivate thier passion for all of creation an help develop thier curiosity

I like to read, and especially manga! Because I truly enjoy the amount of time and effort the artist puts in to every picture to fit in with the story. And occasionally I like to sketch out some of pics I like, like these.

Cooking, aquariums, smoking, hiking and others I cant think of.

I have too many hobbies.

I keep reptiles and work on animal and land conservation issues whenever possible. Trying to keep lands undeveloped so that it can be hunted in a conservation friendly manner and to protect the eco system that is on that land.

What a regal beast! Gorgeous!

Reptiles are at the top of my list as well.

I am also into music/film/literature, table tennis, MMA, and large breasted women.

Vespa motor scooters.

I love the weekend rides to new spots, finding little narrow country roads we haven't ridden on before. Picnics on the road. Working on something so simple to maintain. Cruising around all day and getting 80 to 90 miles per gallon. The camaraderie when the whole club has a meet and ride.

Having just watched the movie 'Larry Crowne' with Tom Hanks, I find this mode of transport very tempting. Indeed! :)

Man, I can't even begin to describe the fun we have on our rides. We sold the Harley's after 5 years of use, and now we're happier with the scooter crowd than ever. Great people who aren't trying to be what their not, and a more reliable ride to boot. From 2002 to now, we haven't had a single breakdown. I can't say the same for the super glide and sportster we had from 1997 to 2001. Last year the little 150cc 2 stroke in my old PX150 needed some refresment at 23,000 miles. I took our=t the motor and put in a new piston and cylinder on my workbench downstairs in 2 hours. It took two hours because I was going by the numbers in the book "An Idiot's Guide to The Vespa" and had never done it before. The cylinder kit was 168.00 and some change.

I love these things so much, I regret the time I wasted on the motorcycles. :D
