What are some good knife shops in New York City?

I'm headed up there this weekend and am looking for recommendations.

Paragon Sporting Goods in the Union Square area is known for having a nice selection - and high prices.
 
Nobody is ignoring you,
I just don't think there is one.
There is "Paragon Sporting Goods" around 18th street,
but you will get sticker shock.
Good luck and have a good time.
NYC has just about everything else.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm more interested in selection anyway than price.
 
Iceberg Army/Navy on Bway and Grand in SoHo had a good selection when I lived there a year ago. Prices aren't much better than Paragon, though, and Paragon has customs to stare at too.
 
Paragon has the largest selection of customs in NYC. The prices, however, are very high.
 
I haven't been up to visit the old neighborhood in a generation. But, there use to be a number of good gun and knife shops just outside of town. How about it? Are any of those shops still there around Amityville, or CT?
