Never owned the Skirmish or Ares. Don't seem to have the 710 pics anymore.

The 910 Strker is a great knife. A real stand out. Deceptively strong for it's size and I think the blade design is very well thought out and capable.. I carried one for years and it proved it's value and capability daily. One of my favorite BM's (among many). lol

I still have the original one I carried for all those years. Retired it but still take it out from time to time. That it lasted so long under what could be considered harder then normal use is testament to it's quality and design.

What could go wrong in such a simple design? The 910 remains a favorite and have noticed it's popular for many of us. Mine is in 154CM, but once somewhere had a 910HS that I sold to someone that reminds me to think twice about doing things like that.

I have a Stryker auto, that I'm pretty fond of. I wasn't around for the day of the Strykers. I can see where you could think it a tough knife, if it's anything like the auto at all.

The 910 was one of those knives compared to other offering's of the time that really distinguished itself as far as strength, light weight, quality materials and function of design. Not to mention great feel in hand. Very solid knife you can truly depend on. I love the lines and overall design of the blade, Very well thought out and executed. Allen Elishewitz hit it out of the park again with the Stryker. I have to include him as one of my favorite knife makers. His designs have always really apealed to me.

The Stryker was the knife I carried after the AFCK so I think my great experiences with some of BM's better knives so early on had so much to do with solidifying my preference for BM knives.

Great knife no doubt!

I think a lot more went into it's design then it's given credit for though. I won't name names but I can think of a couple of "other" knives I used back then that either broke or the blade closed on me while using them and the Stryker could handle it so I was, and still am very impressed with this otherwise humble knife from back in the day.
