What are the current economics of exhibiting at Blade Show?

I do not have a lot of show experience, I have always been much more of an online sales guy. Some notes I learned,

The clientele is different than it is online. In the same way the people still on Blade forum are different than the people on Instagram are different than the people in shows. To me, there is a lot more impulse buys and comparison shopping, which means if you arent a well known maker with people specifically coming for your stuff, the pricing pressure is much stronger.

I will say I wish I had been more able to wander and see peoples tables, my Wife was able to man my tables for periods but people often had questions she couldn't answer and I had to book it back.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between selling out of a backpack via an attendee wristband and splitting a table with someone on an Exhibitor pass. I had a small section of the Latama table and it worked out great for me, definitely planning to continue exhibiting😊
Engraving ?

I’m trying to find your initials on the top two…. Am I wasting my time?
Sorry for the frustration 😂 Those didn’t have any shading lines to hide my initials, so the first is microstamped in the border near the pocketclip and the Hawk has my initials on the side near the makers info.

That’s good. I thought I was losing my mind.

I have never had a table at Atlanta, but did Blade West at Salt Lake a few years ago and I’ve done Blade Texas the past several years. Texas is much more economical for me since it’s 2 hrs down the road. That being said, I usually go to see some knifemaking friends I don’t get to see often, meet new people and buy supplies, and if I sell a couple of knives, then I’m happy!
