**What are the new knives at Blade Show 2003?**

Extrema Ratio was there with a complete line of robust military-style fixed blades and folders. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the knives and the obvious thought that went into the product line.

Are there any pics of the new knives online? Please post urls. Thanks.

Is the 7" mad max a custom or a camillius?

Hey...

Anyone see anything about the Microtech Mini SOCOM Elite in MA?

It looks really sweet... but I have no idea bout MT's delivery schedule :p

The new Gibbs maxx II from me is all custom with rounded handle frame and hand rubbed blades (three blade styles Bowie, spear and dagger) plus all the goodies. I have an inlayed version also that has pearl, walrus, carbon fiber, and iron wood as inlay material options. The inlayed version is available with pins also like a SF price dagger handle.
Most of my knives will be available with the robo power assist in about 90 days. I had a proto at the show that was not for sale.

Camillus has come out with a flat frame Cuda maxx 7.0 version with a spear point.
It will have the groove pattern in it like the 5.5 in the handle frame.
Anyone wanting pics please email me off line.

I saw the Spyderfly, but like others who saw the thing, I had to agree not to describe it.

The only thing I'll say is "pretty bloody cool" and "will give Benchmade's balisongs a run for their money."

I know for sure there won't be pictures until Sal and crew are ready to unveil it to the general public. As in, not yet. :)

Darrel,

Does it come with a SOS sheath? (Side of Shin)?

I have no idea where else you would carry it.

I hesitate to imagine a tip-down Robo 7" Gibbs Maxx mounted near the leg area.

:innocent look:

;)

I hear that JON!
;)

I think a sheath could be made up for it that was LARGE enough.
I dont make them but there are many that do.
Gary Grayley comes to mind.

Hmm.

You know... that would be pretty cool... you could make a 28" version for CA, NJ and other non-length-limited states.

Folks could carry it in a breakaway scabbard with a frog/knob thing where unsheathing it would hit the Robo flipper. And a 29" handle would start approximating those on a katana. Or better, the bottom 20" of the handle could be thinner and like an auto knife, so it just slides into itself.

...

I think it's past my bedtime.

;)

Take care, sir. :)

I put many frog nobs on them now. The 12 inch will come with one standard. Most folks carry them IWB!
