What are the rules in London re: EDC?

As you can see the situation over hear is far from clear  , although the definition of "offensive weapon" is biased in the favour of the policeman on the spot, so for heavens sake be polite ;)
When I was much younger (before things became really tight), I was once told by a Policeman that he had once confiscated a studded wrist band - the reason he gave was that he couldn't think of a legitimate reason why the boy would want it ??????

Remember, you might be in the right, but it might not stop your knife getting confiscated, or risk a night in the cells if you make a big fuss about it :(

If you want a self defence alternative, might I suggest about 2' of light chain with a dog clip on one end to clip to your belt and a large bunch of keys that sit in your pocket on the other end. For added effect you might add a small brass padlock to the keyring. Very common and hard to prove you meant violence with it, even in the unlikely event this thought crosses the PC's mind ;)

I just spent the last 2 weeks in London. I figured since I won't be able to get one throught the airport, I settled without one. I felt safe in London....
