What are the top 5 custom knives?

I thought the question was about as unanswerable as saying,
hey guys I'm getting interested in literature, who are the top 5 writers :)
but the personal preferences listed have been quite illuminating
(myself, I like the Scagel joke best, Bob Loveless would have to be mentioned as well...
and as for current favorites, mine is Ken Onion)

My favourite makers:

1. Kirby Lambert
2. Matt Cucchiara
3. Scott Cook
4. Mike Obenauf
5. Jens Anso

There are lots of other makers out there that I really like their stuff, and I've handled them, but never owned. I'm only speakinf from experience of knives i've owned, and makers that i've dealt with personally.
 
i agree with all of the makers listed... but .. let's not forget Jens Anso and Warrent Thomas :thumbup:
 
So many that you really need to qualify the specifics, e.g. steel type, blade length, locking mechanism, style, etc., etc.

Although I only own one custom, I see knives posted almost everyday in the knifemakers for sale forum, that I would like to buy, if only I had the funds. Check them out.
