Just got my BAD off the market here today, it appears to be completely unused with the factory edge, but under just the right light I'm noticing a lot of lines that run parallel to the edge. As in, against the grind.
I took several pictures and these two are the only ones that I could get the lines to show up in. Is this just something that happens when INFI is hardened up to 60-62RC? Or is this something I should be concerned about?
I'll admit, I'm a new hog. This is only my second Busse (but the third is coming soon, hopefully.
). But of my very limited experience, this is my first time seeing lines like these.
EDIT: Answered by Jerry later in the thread, these lines are a grain that is created when the steel is rolled in the mill (see post #20).
