What are these lines in my INFI? Stress cracks?

I looked over all of my satin blades because I remember seeing that. Only my ASHLE has it. It almost looks like higher grit grain in the opposite direction of the satin finish that has been smoothed with a wheel.

I doubt that is the cause but that it what it looks like. It is hard to see and you need the right angle and light to notice it. I don't think the ASHLE is any harder than the 'norm'.

Been told by my guys at the mill that what you are seeing is the "Grain" of the steel that is formed during mono-directional rolling.

Our tests have shown that this adds to the lateral strength of the steel.

So, what you are seeing is a Good Thing!!!

Well, I guess that is that... thanks boss!

I noticed it on my SAR 3 I thought it was "orange peel"

a finish you get in Ti when you move the metal a put by brushing it ?

Use it. In the rare chance you succeed in messing it up Jerry has you covered with the warranty!

Found some on the new BAD I received today. It's visible only on one side. Good thing it's apparently nothing to worry about!

By the way, I've now doubled my INFI collection :D
