Jerry Fisk and JR Cook are planning it. There will probably be some surprise cuts. To the best of my memory in the last competition the course was a double 1 inch rope cut with extra points if you dropped the rope in the bucket, a timed 2×4 cut, cut a flexy straw poked in a board without braking over the joint, cut 1 inch rope hanging by an upholstery thread without breaking the thread, stabbing water bottles through openings in a birdhouse (the birdhouse of death), water bottle cut with 1 point per bottle cut...all or nothing, and cutting a piece of note paper top to bottom with no tears. Might have missed a cut in there somewhere but you get the idea.
For those who will be available and would like to learn, Bill Carlile will be giving a sharpening demonstration at the Arkansas Historic Museum @ 10:00 AM on Friday. He will probably be around after that and at the show. I am looking forward to the whole show.
I know there are some makers that are working on something special for the show. I hope they get images up for us to see.
I'm getting a little concerned as we get closer to the show. I've been sick most of this week and have got nothing done. I have five started (3 folders, 2 forged fixed)and at various levels of completion. This one is closest to being finished.
