......you interested in getting rid of the JW Smith framelocker? It is exactly like my liner lock Scimitar. Let me know and we might be able to do some trading!

:D

Only had it two days as it was brought back from Vegas for me. Its going to replace my Brend/Cutter that Blilious has, as one of my EDC. I do appreciate the offer though.

Well can't say as I blame you! But if ever the urge strikes...........remember me!

I'm at school today, I teach 7th grade science, so I only have a little Buck Prince in my left hand pocket............and a J.W. Smith Scimitar in my right hand pocket, blade shape like Burkstars only it has bolsters and cf scales, also have a Cuda MAXX in my right hand vest pocket.

like I said, just a light kinda day here in the 7th grade!!

Is it legal for teachers to carry knives to school? I could maybe see the small Prince being overlooked, but I don't think it would be looked upon too lightly if anybody saw the Cuda MAXX.

I think it would probably be against the law to carry a knife with a blade length of much more than 4". I also think that a responsible teacher WOULD NOT advertise that they had a knife by playing around with it.

Artsig1,

I'm go police officer, and like I said, I don't know if it is legal or not (although I'm pretty sure it isn't legal), but I would be careful. If it is illegal to carry a knife on school property, then you would be in violation whether someone told you or not. As they say, "ignorance of the law is no excuse". It would suck if some student happened to notice the MAXX in your vest pocket when you leaned over his/her desk to help them, or if you ever took your vest off and left the room without thinking. Kids have been known to snoop and plunder the teacher's things when they leave the classroom. Bottom line, just be careful. I would hate for you to get busted for carrying a knife that you wouldn't even use anyway. "I have a bit more sense than to actually deploy that bugger in front of anybody!"

Take care,

Mike

Always : SOG X-Ray vision + Spydercard in wallet
Usually : add a navigator in gin-1

-Taxi Driver's Wallet
-Samsung yepp' mp3 player
-Kechain w/ Inova LED
-Skagen watch
-CRKT M16-13T
-A little ingenuity

I find that this combination (with the occasional addition of a multi-tool and/or Little Mak pocket telescope) meets all of my needs and doesn't weigh me down too much.

Today I had school. So all I had on me up untill 2:06 was:
Wallet
Maglite Solitaire on keys( soon to be replaced by Arc AAA)

Now that I'm home again:
Spyderco FRN Delica
Victorinox Soldier
Victorinox Classic put back on keyring

...............only the knife I have been waiting on for a little over a month now. This is my J.W. Smith LDC-5 that John modified for me by replacing the micarta backspacer with a stainless backspacer for a much more solid feel and also moved the clip to the very tip top of the bolster so it would carry DEEP in the pocket. This has been a most anticipated knife!:D  :)

right jeans pocket: Large Sebenza
left jeans pocket: Kershaw Blackout Chive
briefcase: Microtech Lightfoot, Leatherman Wave & a Spydercard in my pda case
