Just been fishing a family farm pond. Lots of bass and bluegill. Nothing over 12" but tons of fun on ultralight gear. Going to Herrington Lake in KY (southwest of Lexington) on 4/20 for 4 days of chasing hybrid stripers and white bass.

Got out to wet a line the last couple days. I have been fishing in a local county park lake I have been catching bluegill, crappie and a few trout. Fried trout for dinner tomorrow :D

american lobster- it is what I do for a living. I may set some hook gear for spiny dogfish this summer and i have a commercial permit for striped bass when the season opens in mid july...i don't get to do much recreational fishing these days, the commercial fishing takes up pretty much all of my time.

We fished Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills, NC last week and caught a lot of 2-3# bluefish. A friend of mine is there this week and he reported the first Spanish Mackerel of the season yesterday. I'm back home now and trout is the main focus along with smallmouth.

middle upper NC. large mouth, crappie, bream, bullheads, channels and blue cats. hell anything i can catch really. when at the beach i target flounder in the sound and anything i can get hook to catch on the beach and inlet.

White Perch, Stripers and blues whilst on the bay
Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout in the streams

I usually go for what I can catch- can't go to the river right now it's to high, I've tried

I did catch a carp today- in a local pond, first one I've ever caught considering I'm usually going for bass

two weeks ago : 12 to 20 rainbows a day at watch lake(7lb 2oz largest) and lake trout and kokanee at bridge lake
Monday was two 8lb sockeye out of the Fraser river
Tomorrow will be sockeye again and hoping for a spring/chinook. Maybe pink salmon if they finally start moving up river

Brainestorm I grew up fishing walleye and perch in Saskatchewan and 10 lb walleye are good ones for sure

Its not every day we land a 10 pounder ,,least wise on my boat..Some every year but few in most cases ,,this year there plenty,,They break off ,,they fall off due to waves,,its allways mostly windy,,and get pulled off dragging them in..
That rainbow report is quite a day..Never cought one over 14 in. Steelheads yes ,,latgest this year 28 in. 12 pd.
But they got close to a record lake trout this year , 36 in. fish well in the late 20 pound range,,I heard it was even bigger ,, still in the wind..
Tight lines to you .
Greg
