What are you fishing.

I made a couple different versions of this kit and have been playing around with it. It's a blast to use actually, but I cast differently than in the video. I hold the kit in my left hand and give the line an underhand toss with my right hand. You can (like everything else) Google and find a million ideas for these things! I've already made a few. All I have to show for it so far is a small bluegill, but it looks promising. I carry one in my day pack and in my bike saddlebag.

Son and I went out in kayaks Saturday (North/Central Wisconsin)
Caught bass (biggest 18"), northerns, perch and bluegills all in the same day.
My son is just learning to use a fly rod. A lot of fun to watch. :)

My son and I went just this past Sunday for Bluegills through the ice.
Took home 14 half pound gills and 14 half pound Yellow perch, never caught Perch in the spot we went before, it was a nice surprise.
Could'nt find my dern camera.

The last time I got to go fishing about mid September I was fishing some farm ponds on family land. Lure fishing catching largemouth bass and a lot of panfish (perch and brim).

Do'nt feel too bad, everybody is still walkin out here in Minnesota, and the lower St. Croix is half open. Great year for ice sailin though on the smaller lakes with no snow, just gotta watch out for the bad spots.:D

Mewolf 1 Thanks ,,Well when I am not ice fishing this time of year I ride snowmobiles,,not enough snow for that ..last year this time over 6 foot allready,,this year maybe 8 inches..Even made deer hunting hard ,, was mostly rain ,,Its been tough this winter to stay active...Allways wanted to try that ice sailing , looks hard,,and I will bet hard landing too..

Southern Idaho-
River trout-brookies, rainbows and browns.
Lake trout-rainbows, cuthroats and cutbows
if the trout are over 10 inches, they get eaten, and brookies get stuffed with diced onions, wrapped with jute and torched.

Caught my first steelhead a month ago on my flyrod, just about did a backflip. Thick shouldered 28 incher with a picture perfect scale pattern. I powdered up my line and a purple pistol pete with Frog Farts and let line out into some deeper current downstream. I could see the little spinner buzzing about 20 yards away, and once I hooked him I went into panic mode, and straight for my reel instead of the line. Too much time running a spinning rig growing up... Looking to get into some heavier steelhead and salmon stuff this next year.

Nice steelhead at any time any where good job.,This is a great place if you steel head fish..
