  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What are you GIVING for Christmas?

to one of my fam members,a hard rifle case, box o shottie shells, and a cleaning kit. as well as some trigger time to get him used to his new rem 870! -fed

Most years I make all my Christmas gifts. I usually start in the summer months to finish up on time. Not so much this year, Christmas is so much more fun and memorable for me when I make the gifts.

Much of the stuff, about half, in this slide show has been given as gifts to family and friends over the years. I made almost all of this junk except for the Tele and a few of the guns.
Leather, knives and misc.

Most of this stuff I made too and much of it has been given as Christmas gifts.
Mostly weaving and knitting
I give away much more than I sell, I do a few jobs for friends now and then.

bro you do some beautiful work

oh also im just giving my time to the less fortunate at the local shelter figure i have all i need so does my family but not everyone is so fortunate so i thought i would help out

Thanks, I don't attribute it to any great skill I've just always been very compulsive, I have a good bit of patience and loads of tenacity, I refuse to be stumped by a project and always seem able to work my way through it.

Some of the very fancy leather tooling took a couple tries to get it the way I wanted, now on projects I haven't attempted before I do a test on either scrap leather or project leather, just in case it turns out good the first time, this is starting to happen more often as my skills do get better with practice. :)

Knife wise, my baby sister is getting a Wrangler hoof knife, for her b-day, hers is December 15th, my little brother is getting a Benchmade 32.

Everyone's getting books, my father a subscription to Grit magazine in addition.

I found a really nice art box/easel, loaded with supplies. It was marked 70 bucks, I had a 40% off coupon. Found out it was in the wrong spot, it was actually 170 bucks, but they honored the fact it was in the wrong spot, and I ended up paying 45 bucks for it. Giving that to my baby sister for Christmas.
