What are you going to use your Basic 4 for?

I got the anorexic one. I'm mostly a camper and bushcrafter and hope this can replace my CABS. The CABS's convex edge and grind are proving to be a bit tough for carving wood to me. I got to try a scandi grind on a bushcraft knife out and it was awesome, so I'm hoping the full flat grind of the Basic 4 will give me a closer bushcrafter feel. I wasn't even going to order this one but then I saw the specs on it and thought, hey why not :)

Now to decide whether to pair it with a B10 or B11...

everything from fuzz sticks to skinning. I think this going to be Busse's newest home run

You should check out the spyderco bushcraft. Its reasonably priced and resembles the woodlore knife just not as expensive. It's got a real bite, and the smooth g10 handle feels amazing during long periods of use... Then again, Res-C feels great too. And to answer your question about my plans for the B4.... Zombies... and Sandwiches.... but mostly zombies

That's actually the bushcrafter I got to try out over the weekend. It's what spurred me to order the B4. The Bushcraft is still pretty expensive though. If I'm going that high, I thought why not the B4 for just a little more :)

Edit: I just realized how nonsequitur that sounded. "Yeah, I tried out the Spyderco Bushcraft so it made me want to buy the Busse Basic 4"

Thinking about getting some KYDEX for the Fat/Blk and chucking in the Jeep for me RoadHog. Keep the Blk Twiggy at the house and then use it hunting as well!!!

You can't go wrong either way... Is this your first Basic then?

I have an 11 right now that I really love. I don't have an axe or machete to compare it to, but I love the way it chops.
I have a 10 on order, which I'm expecting about the same time as the 4.

By the way, if you use it for zombies, don't use it for sandwiches as well. Cross contamination issues, just like in the kitchen.

Skinning Deer and Hog's will be it's purpose in life and whatever else happens to arise when I am wearing it. I am thinking of a piggy back sheath with the B-10 and Basic 4 together. Should be a awesome combination :)

I'm surprised to see everyone talk about kitchen stuff here  I've tried cutting with these outdoors knives before and I just can't get a clean cut. Anything more than 1/8" (0.125") just ends up cracking and breaking the food rather than slicing it. The anorexic comes pretty close, plus it's a flat grind, so maybe it will do well

Fishing, Hunting, and everything else in between.
I almost cracked a dinner plate once while trying to slice an onion with my Mean Street, way to thick for slicing, I cant wait for the Basic 4.

I decided to pass on the Basic 4; the price was great, but I bought a few BRKT rampless Bravo-1s in 3V earlier this month plus a Fiddleback custom this week. I may regret the decision, but my Discover card was in danger of overheating.
